Mark Stevens focuses his practice on labor certifications, helping companies sponsor their employees for lawful permanent residence. He has worked with companies of all sizes, from multinationals all the way down to solo startups. Mark takes great pride in helping companies keep the talent they need to thrive and in helping employees build the lives they dream of in the United States. Mark joined Chin & Curtis in 2021.
Before joining Chin & Curtis, Mark worked for over 6 years at a mid-size immigration boutique firm in Virginia. His practice focused on business immigration, appeals, and litigation in federal district and circuit courts. He won several court decisions which expanded access to bond hearings for noncitizens in deportation proceedings, leading to the release of hundreds of noncitizens from immigration detention.
Mark is a native of Boston and completed his undergraduate studies in philosophy and English at the University Professors Program at Boston University. He received his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from George Mason University School of Law. Before entering private practice, he held clerkships at the Board of Immigration Appeals and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Mark has been listed as a Rising Star in immigration law by SuperLawyers Magazine for Virginia and D.C. since 2017. Mark is the Chair of the Litigation Committee for the D.C. Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Mark has lived abroad in Germany and India. He enjoys hiking with his dog and traveling.
