Silvia B. Gwin
Silvia Balogh Gwin is an attorney at Chin and Curtis providing strategic and legal advice on all aspects of business immigration law. She provides assistance with non-immigrant and immigrant visa applications and petitions, as well as U.S. permanent residency matters. Based on a hands-on approach with her clients, she specializes in streamlining immigration programs efficiently and effectively, thereby achieving superior customer service and excellent client experience.
Previously, Silvia worked for a large boutique business immigration law firm where she focused on assisting multinational corporate clients in obtaining employment-based visas for their employees. She primarily represented Fortune 100 multinational companies, but also assisted smaller clients and startups in a diverse range of industries including technology, internet, information technology, and financial services.
Silvia is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), as well as of the AILA New England Chapter where she currently serves as the Social Media Liaison. Silvia has also spoken at public forums. As an immigrant herself, she is passionate about giving back to her community and helping others in immigration matters.
She is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School, where she served as the Treasurer of the Immigration Law Association. In her free time, Silvia enjoys reading, gardening, training her dogs, taking photos, and walking in nature.
